With such a great range of tomatoes in the stores, it’s time to turn them into some great recipes. Here’s a favorite…
Tomato pasta sauce
- Take 1 teaspoon of butter and gently saute 2 diced cloves of garlic
- Add 4-5 chopped ripe tomatoes and a good handful of torn basil
- Season with salt and peper and a touch of sugar
- Simmer 20 mins and pour over al dente pasta
- Add fresh basil to garnish
